Water For All

Can you imagine life without clean water to drink? For millions of people it's a daily reality. Everyone everywhere needs a clean and sustainable supply of water: for drinking, washing, cleaning, cooking and growing food. It’s a basic human right.

Many people around the world don't have access to safe water and also lack access to adequate sanitation. In many places around the world, taps, wells and pipes simply don’t exist. Even where they do, they are often not affordable for the poorest people or are not designed to last. Women and girls suffer the most. They are forced to walk long distances to collect dirty water, wasting their time and energy. This means they miss out on an education, lack the opportunity to make a living, and have little chance to change things. They are also more likely to get sick with water-related diseases. Opportunities, choices, and bright futures don’t stand a chance against devastating and deadly illnesses, lost productivity, and childhoods cut short. Gausia endeavours to end this.

Gausia Academy's water for all program envisages a world where every person has access to reliable and safe water and sanitation services. To meet these visionary ends we promote the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and government.

For us, it's not just about building wells, installing toilets, and setting up pumps, but about creating long-term, sustainable change. We talk to community members, governments, and business owners to find out what they need to feel healthy, safe, and empowered. Then we build capacity from the ground up and top down, changing entire systems so we won’t have to be around forever – but water and sanitation services will last for generations to come. Join us!
